Fellowship Programs

Children’s Specialists of San Diego (CSSD) consists of 27 pediatric specialty divisions. CSSD physicians are involved in teaching and training of over 300 medical students, residents, and fellows each year from local, national, and international programs. The local programs with whom we are involved are UCSD, Balboa Naval Medical Center, Scripps Mercy, Scripps Chula Vista, and Pendleton Naval Hospital.

As Director of Graduate Medical Education for Rady Children’s Hospital, our hospitalist, Dr. Erin Stucky, oversees the organizational structure of and assures oversight of the academic programs. Drs. Stucky and Eichenfield co-chair the CSSD Academic Affairs and Research Committee, which is very active and instrumental in Rady Children’s/UCSD Research planning and academic presentations. The information on this website will give you a general overview of the training done at Rady Children’s Hospital. Many of the specialty services travel to satellites, where fellows can experience patient care in a non-academic setting. For any questions related to academics and teaching, please contact Dr. Stucky at estucky@rchsd.org.

UCSD Fellowship Program Information: The UCSD Department of Pediatrics offers many ACGME-accredited fellowships in pediatric subspecialties in conjunction with Rady Children’s Hospital. Visit UCSD-Peds Fellowship Program website.
