Clinical Evaluation of children with birth defects and/or genetic conditions
Genetic counseling
The clinical services unit includes three pediatricians with highly specialized training in birth defects and genetics, and two genetic counselors. Genetic services staff members are available for consultations with physicians seven days a week. Individuals with a clinical condition in need of diagnosis or management would typically schedule appointments with a physician. Individuals with a confirmed diagnosis interested in genetic testing or individuals with concerns related to their family history would typically schedule appointments with the genetic counselor.
