Children's Specialists Division of Pediatric Asthma/Allergy/Immunology Clinics is a multidisciplinary service that provides care for children with a diagnosis of, or potential diagnosis of, asthma or allergies - food or inhalant. The clinic team consists of four attending physicians, a pediatrics service nurse practitioner, two BSN-prepared care coordinators, a pharmacist, a clinical assistant and respiratory therapists.
The clinic provides ongoing evaluation and management to patients with symptoms of allergy or asthmatic disease. Services also include patient and family teaching, financial counseling and available resources for the patient and family and management of disease in the school environment.
The Immunology Clinic provides care for children with immune deficiencies and is one of the leaders in the research of Kawasaki's Disease.
The Division works with the American Lung Association which offers an asthma camp each year-Scamp Camp. Patients are also offered Children's Home Care services and Asthma Disease Management classes.
