Children's Specialists Pathology Division is the only group of pathologists dedicated to the practice of pediatric pathology in San Diego County. The pathologists provide interpretations in pediatric anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as kidney pathology, ciliary motility analysis and electron microscopy. Using state-of-the-art procedures and instrumentation, the laboratory staff offers on-site pediatric inpatient and outpatient services, including:

The Pathology Division provides the rotations in pediatric pathology for the UCSD School of Medicine medical students, pathology residents and fellows as well as pathology residents from the Naval Medical Center, San Diego.
The medical staff of the Pathology Division author publications and review manuscripts for medical journals, serves on editorial boards, and are invited to lecture throughout the world.
The members are active in national and international societies, including the Society for Pediatric Pathology, Pediatric Oncology Group, United States Canadian Academy of Pathology, American Society of Clinical Pathology, National Association of Medical Examiners, College of American Pathologists, and American Association of Blood Banks.
